Open Positions:

Trip Options Phone Counselors

Volunteers will work 4-8 hours a week answering phone calls related to transportation options. Volunteers will work directly with end-users to help determine the best mode and method of transportation available.

Training about local and regional transportation resources in the community will be provided.

Essential Abilities:

Desired Skills Include:

  • Comfortable with conversations on the phone.
  • Ability to empathize with people and to have critical listening skills.
  • Ability to use a computer and have basic skills such as use of keyboard and/or mouse.
  • Willingness to learn phone systems and data recording systems.

 

Transportation Options Email Counselors

Volunteers will work by answering emails asking about transportation options. Volunteers will respond directly to emails, and will forward on inquiries to the responsible parties and agencies as they see fit.

Outreach Volunteer

Volunteers will travel to and attend community events to help people understand transportation options and resources. Volunteers will conduct Transportation Options Training with local agencies to help staff learn transportation options for their clients.
