C-Tran Travel Training Program

C-TRAN’s free Travel Training program is designed to help seniors and people with disabilities learn how to use the fixed-route bus system. Riders can meet with a travel trainer to cover the basics of public transportation, or ride with a trainer on the bus. Learn how to:
- Plan a trip using the easiest and safest route
- Safely board a bus, even with a mobility device
- Pay your fare
- Read and understand bus schedules and maps
- Recognize bus numbers, stops, and landmarks
- Transfer to other buses
Travel Training allows people to feel confident and comfortable using the bus system, and gain the independence that comes with transportation options.
To connect with a Travel Trainer, all you have to do is call 360-906-RIDE (7433), or send an email to traveltrainers@c-tran.org. There’s no eligibility requirement, and it’s completely free.
