Community in Motion -- North County Shuttle Service

Due to pandemic precautions, the North County Shuttle Service has contracted with outside vendors to provide INDIVIDUAL RIDES ON A TEMPORARY BASIS, until further notice. Rides are available Monday–Friday and are limited to a single passenger or members of the same household only. Masks are required. Please call our office at 360.735.5737 to see if we can accommodate your request for a ride. Normal shuttle service and hours will resume as soon as it is safe for passengers to socialize on a community shuttle.

Eligibility/Overview

The North County Shuttle Service provides free shuttle transportation into Battle Ground for medical appointments, shopping, meal sites, community services, socialization opportunities, and more. The shuttle is available to residents of north Clark County (see map below) who are:

  • Seniors;
  • Persons with disabilities; or
  • Socially isolated

Scheduling a Ride

The North County Shuttle is available on a weekly basis to residents of five service areas in north Clark County, as shown on the map via the link below. Please reference the following map for your service area and day of service. (Please note that service areas overlap in some places. Addresses within the overlap may have more than one service line available to them.) If you need help determining your service area, please contact us.

Shuttle Hours:

Pickup: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
In Battle Ground: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Return Home: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

To schedule a ride, please call 360.735.5737 at least 2 business days in advance of your trip. We can schedule rides up to 30 days in advance. Please have the following information available when you call:

  • Name and date of birth of passenger
  • Phone number
  • Date of desired trip
  • Pickup address
  • Destination address(es) (Shuttle service is available for multiple destinations within Battle Ground, as time allows.)
  • Appointment times (if relevant)
  • Information on any assistive equipment or mobility devices used

When you call for a ride, we’ll let you know what time you need to be ready. Your ride may arrive up to 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after your scheduled pickup time. Please note that unexpected delays may occur due to extreme traffic congestion, road construction or weather conditions.

If you need to cancel a ride, please do so as soon as you can, preferably at least 2 hours in advance. Frequent cancellations without timely notification may result in future denial of service.

Funding

The North County Shuttle Service is funded through the National Center for Mobility Management and WSDOT consolidated grants.
